Short Story on my piece by ~Jabb3rwock
"You walk through the mist, the soft vegetation crunching beneath your sturdy leather boots. So close, only a few miles to home, you can almost see the soft light playing over the edge of the hearth. Your foot catches on a tree root and you skip forward, catching yourself- or so you thought. Your foot refuses to come free and you hit the ground, your hands smarting as you thrust them into the earth to soften the fall. Annoyed, you turn to yank your boot away- only to realize that the offending root does not exist. A fine, silvery thread, barely visible in the darkness, sticks to your sole. Your eyes follow the thread and find another... and another... and another... a vast, glittering blanket of spun moonlight against the forest floor. You pull off your shoe, free it from the sticky cord, and hastily hop on one foot while yanking it back on. You only looked down for a moment- yet somehow, the trees seem closer."
